Forbes unveiled its 2017 digital startup barometer, which has been compiled by Capgemini Consulting and ECap Partner since 2016. Its primary finding: last year, there were fewer funding rounds, but the amounts in play were larger. Shift Technology, GuestToGuest and Actility, all three in the top 10 largest funding rounds, were incubated by Paris&Co. In 2017, Paris&Co startups raised €200 million in total funding.
€1.5 billion: that’s the cumulative amount of the 460 digital startup funding rounds in 2017, or 20 % more than the previous year. At the top of the podium, Actility raised € 71 million, GuestToGuest raised € 33 million and Shift Technology € 23.7 million; all three are Paris&Co alumni.
Other top-ranking startups were Dataiku and Doctolib, also spotted by Paris&Co during the City of Paris Innovation Grand Prix.
“Guest to Guest, with €33 million raised, treated itself to the American company Home exchange; thanks to this acquisition, it has become the leader of the home exchange sector”, says the article.
Forbes emphasized that the ecosystem has now entered a phase of maturity.
