City of Paris 2018 Innovation Grand Prix : 5 prizewinners to transform the lives of Parisians

On Tuesday 11 December the City of Paris, Paris&Co and its partners unveiled the winners of the City of Paris Innovation Grand Prix in an awards ceremony gathering 2,000 representatives of the Paris metropolitan area’s innovation ecosystem.

Energy and mobility : KRyole

Reinventing user experience : Syos

Syos revolutionizes the manufacture of saxophone mouthpieces by offering customized products thanks to 3D printers.

E-health : Vita DX

VitaDX offers an innovative solution for early detection of bladder cancer based on a urine sample.

Mobile and connected city dwellers : R-Pur

R-PUR develops anti-pollution masks made in France specially designed for two-wheel urban vehicle users.

Moonshot 2040 : Cozy cloud

Cozy is the number one digital home on the market. It offers used an intelligent, decentralized and secure storage space that lets clients recover their data using connectors.


After a preliminary selection made in October by a hundred or so experts, 30 finalists were retained for the 17th annual edition in 5 categories including Moonshot 2040, category open to French and foreign projects.

The 5 prizewinners each received €12,000 as well as a trophy symbolic of urban innovation: an authentic Parisian street sign.

Steered by Paris&Co, the innovation and economic development agency of Paris, with the support of the City of Paris, this competition is eagerly awaited each year by the innovation community. It represents a turning point in the life of its prizewinners, giving them strong visibility with the general public and investors. Clothilde Chalot, winner of the 2017 Innovation Grand Prix and founder of the startup NoMadMusic, attests: “The Innovation Grand Prix has been an enormous trampoline for my business. It has given us very strong media visibility and countless networking opportunities with partners and investors. It’s a true label”.
