This year once again, Paris&Co reinforced its position as THE French leader in helping startups succeed. In 2016, Paris&Co's platforms and incubators provided support for a total of 302 companies, 64 more than in 2015.
Incubated startups comprised 30 foreign companies from our various programs (PLP Invest, Explore, French Tech Ticket). The 272 French companies generated combined revenues of €74 million, provided jobs for 2,030 full-time employees, and raised €123 million in private equity, including success stories Navya (€30M), Shift Technology ($10M) and Zenpark (€6,1 M).
In parallel, our alumni continued to generate media buzz. Several of them successfully raised Series B or C funding, such as Alkemics (€20M), Evaneos (€18M), Synthesio (€8M), while others were acquired (Stupeflix by GoPro and ePawn by Swedish studio Starbreeze). And 2017 got off to a flying start with funds raised by GuestToGuest (€33M), Actility (€70M) and the acquisition of Niland by Spotify.
Since the inception of Paris&Co incubators almost twenty years ago, 803 companies have been incubated - of which 650 remain active, for an overall success rate of 81%.
